JAMMU, Mar 07: Jammu and Kashmir delegation headed by Lieutenant Governor Girish Chandra Murmu will visit Ahmedabad on March 9 for a roadshow and attracting investment in J&K.
GC Murmu, who remained in top Power corridor in Gujarat from early 2005 to 2014 (when he moved to Centre), has series of Contacts not only in Ahmedabad but also in Industrial cluster of Baroda, Anjar, Porbander, Morvi, Dasada , Bhavnagar and Surat.
At Centre , Murmu was posted in all powerfull Expenditure department (from 2014 till 2019 , when he was appointed as first LG of J&k UT) and remianed close to PM Narendra Modi.
Sources told Cross Town News that the goodwill that LG Murmu has in Gujarat, he can figure out big investments for J&K especially from top Gujarati grpups like Adani , Sun Pharma, Nirma , Arvind and Suzlon.
Sourecs told Cross Town News that all these groups have shown their interets and many other Top groups like Torrent, Marico and Havmor can invest in J&K and they are likely to sign MOU with J&K administration for investment.
J&K Investment Summit, which is planned in month of May can attract investment of around Rs 1 lakh crore.
Home Minister Amit Shah is also keenly watching the progerss of Investment Summit and is playing an active role in generating bigger investment pool in J&K.
