KATRA, JUNE 22 - Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Ravinder Kumar on Tuesday, felicitated the winners of Dangal tournament that was organized by Baba Jitto Development Committee in collaboration with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association at village Aghar Jitto in memory of Baba Jitto and Bua Kouri.
The DC who was chief guest on the occasion distributed cash prizes among the winners of Dangal, notably among them was wrestler Amir Khan of Bajrangi Akhara,Jammu who clinched the title of 53rd Aghar Jitto Kesari and was awarded with prize money of Rs 10,000/- along with traditional Gurj (Gadda) and Patta while runner-up Wrestler Tinku was awarded Rs 6,000/-.
Winner of 2nd main bout was Vikas of Haryana whereas 3rd and 4th bout was won by Nigam and Gujjar of U.P respectively.
Tehsildar Katra and Naib Tehsildar Katra (Mela officer) were present on the occasion.
