SRINAGAR, June 15: Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Law and Justice, Abdul Haq, today said the State Government has a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) for collection of toll fee at Nagrota Toll plaza.
Responding to a question raised by Ghulam Nabi Monga, the Minister said the work of Toll Plaza has been awarded by NHAI to the contractor after following e-tendering process. He said the Toll Contractor is executing the work of collection of user fee as per contract agreement signed with NHAI and as per the instructions and guidelines issued from Ministry/NHAI from time to time.
Abdul Haq further clarified that all government vehicles are not exempted at the Toll Plaza, but some are as per rules issued by Union Ministry of Road Transport & Highways.
