Maharaja Hari Singh Park On River Tawi To Be Completed This Year: Farooq Andrabi

          SRINAGAR, June 13: Minister of State for Haj & Auqaf , PHE and Irrigation & Flood Control, Power Development, Industries & Commerce, Syed Farooq Ahmad Andrabi today informed that the work on Maharaja Hari Singh Park on the banks of River Tawi will be completed during the current financial year.

          Replying to a question of Ajat Shatru Singh, the Minister informed that Jammu Development Authority (JDA) started the work on the park at an estimated cost of Rs 3.20 crore in the year 2008-09. He said works of Fencing of land, Entrance gate, Jogger Track and Walkways were taken up in first instances at a cost of Rs 73.86 lakh.

          Andrabi informed that the work of plantation, earth filling, landscaping and flower beds has been taken up at a cost of Rs 75 lakh and is expected to be completed by August this year. He said designs for coffee shop-cum-library-cum-ladies corner are under preparation and shall be taken up soon.
