PULWAMA, NOVEMBER 27: District Development Commissioner, Pulwama, Dr Raghav Langer, along with district officials today held Public Durbar at Town Hall, Pampore for redressal of various problems faced by the people.

During the Durbar, various problems and demands were put forth before the DDC that include electricity supply, drinking water supply, desilting of irrigation channels—widening and repair of roads, crop insurance and other basic facilities.

President Idarah Auqaf Islamia Trust, Pampore, demanded concrete construction of embarkments of River Jehlem at Frestbal, car parking at SDH Pampore, Walling of College and macdamization of approach Road, development of playgrounds, rid from stray dogs, drainage system and unscheduled electricity curtailment.

While as members of Falah Behbood Committee raised the issue of transfer of land of CD block to SDH. construction of divider near Police station on approach Road to SDH, relocation of Solar panels, and street lights.

The delegation of Shar Shali village demanded maintenance of HT lines, receiving station, unscheduled electricity, up gradation of middle school, macdamization of road from Ladoo to Sharshali, land settlement and female doctor for PHC.

A delegation of saffron Growers demanded compensation for saffron crop loss, crop insurance scheme and support price.

Meanwhile the delegation from Patal Bagh, Meej, Shah Hamdan Colony and Ladoo demanded veterinary hospital, health centres, macdamization of roads, retrieve of state land, repair of transmission lines, functional tube Wells respectively.

Student community demanded transfer of land to Tehsil library and up gradation of existing library.

The DDC gave a patient hearing to the public grievances and issued on spot directions to concerned officers for taking cognizance of the issues pertaining to their departments for redressal. He said that district administration would ensure outcome-based disposal of all the genuine issues. He assured the people of providing transparent and responsive governance to the people.
