JAMMU, Nov 08: Some Shady Executive Members of Jammu Club Management Committe took serious advantage of Absence of Top Government Officers to do pick and choose during the Interviews of Aspirants for membership of Jammu Club
Sources in Jammu Club told Cross Town News that Principal Secretary Planning Rohit Kansal, Divisional Commissioner Jammu Sanjeev Verma (not present during most of the period on Sunday) and Executive Member , S No 16 (Bhupinder Singh Dua) were not present.
Couple of Aspitrants while speaking to Cross Town News that pick and choose was done by Executive Committee Members of Jammu Club and diffrenet angles involved cannot be ruled out as every executive memer wanted that new entrance should bow to their feet personally for membership.
They told that out of 115 members called for interview only 64 were selected & what formula they used to select could not understood & is a question mark ?
One of the membership Aspirant told Cross Town News , that he was asked By Members to approach all members individually , (What does this mean , what angle was to be constructred).
One of the Senior Member of prestigious Jammu Club told Cross Town News that Club now has become bonhomie of Businessmen and those days are gone when the Club was Prestigious and had series of Excellent Management commitee , inclduing mainly Government Officers.
Aspirants may go to Court as they said that Many Executive members were not present in the Interviews at all times , and if they were not present at that particular time, their Opinions cannot be taken. (Have those Members also signed the list)S
One Senior Member and Executive Member of Jammu Club also confirmed to Cross Town News that Member not present at Particular time of Interview cannot sign the list.
Senior Members of Club also told Cross Town News that two of the sitting Executive Members of Jammu Club are of Shady nature and their notorious activities are already in open for land encroachment/ACB involvement
Pertinent to mention here that some said that some times father is Executive other time son comes etc etc. & what for.....?
Members also went on to say that One Doctor who is also Executive Memebr does not have etiquette to talk and also questioned nomination of One Lady again and again as Member of Jammu Club and said there is no other Lady in Jammu.
However, in March, 2017 in a dispute regarding membership, Sub-Registrar Jammu Adnan Syed restrained Jammu Club from filling up of vacancies of permanent members.
The direction was passed in a suit filed by Vishal Dhar challenging his non-enrollment as permanent member of Jammu Club despite fulfilling the requisite eligibility.
Which speaks that there was some hanky fanky in membership, so why suit was filed.
