Jammu, Nov 5: It is a well known fact that DC Samba is recouping lands illegally encroached upon by land encroachers but other side his some revenue officials have started visiting other buildings/lands of innocents & this is creating a situation of Panic.
One innocent, who had been approached reportedly by one Lower rung revenue official for such actions by DC without any notice was constrained to file a writ petition in high court that he had made construction on his owned land in year 2012 & one shed with due sanctioned plan from the competant authority by depositting requisitte sanction fee.
After hearing the applicant, who appeared in person, Justice Deeraj Singh Thakur orderd D C Samba not to demolish the structure of the petitioner with out hearing him & status quo shall be maintained.
The order was served by the applicant to DC Office vide its receipt No. 081133730 dated.5.11.2019 with facts of the case.
However, dismantle some ones proprty without giving any notice over the issue or without giving an opportunity being heard, is creating chaos every where.
Experts told Cross Town News that Deputy Commissioner should in general issue a notice to all such illegal encroachers, if any on state lands etc etc with proper notice/publicity, so they can clear their position failing which the action u/r's can be initiated.
