SRINAGAR, June 02: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Bukhari, informed the House that Deputy Commissioner, Doda has been asked to complete the probe within seven days with regard to furnishing of factually incorrect reply to a question raised by Shakti Raj Parihar, MLA Doda in the House about transfer of land for the establishment of New District Hospital and Construction of the Sports Stadium at Doda.
The Minister said that after conducting a preliminary enquiry it was found that the office Patwari, Tahir Naqash, was responsible for framing the replies to the AQs pertaining to the Revenue matters and had concealed the material facts on record. He further said that the said Patwari had drafted a wrong reply to the said AQ and misled his superior – the Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR), who has recently joined the office of DC Doda and was unaware of the facts of the case.
The Minister further added that the Deputy Commissioner Doda was on Paternity leave at that time.
Mr Bukhari also said that Deputy Commissioner Doda has placed the said Patwari under suspension for this willful concealment of facts and furnishing of factually incorrect information to the Assembly. He assured the House that Revenue Officer/ officials responsible for the aforementioned lapse will face a stringent action.
