SAMBA, JUNE 01: In order to verify the genuineness of data under National Food Safety Act (NFSA) and to ensure that no deserving beneficiary is left out, the district administration today constituted teams for 9 blocks of Samba District.
The teams will organize camps in the respective areas from June 2nd to 8th and read out data to public for inviting objections in this regard.
In this context, a workshop was organised under the chairpersonship of Deputy Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda for the nodal officers, Lamberdars and chowkidars.
Also, the administration has decided that in case the public participation is less than 100 the camp shall be again held at the same place.
The DC informed that a toll free number 1800-180-7063 of Public Grievance cell shall operate from 11 am to 1 pm from June 2nd to 8th, for registering NFSA specific complaints.
The DC has also appealed to the general public to contact their respective Tehsildar, BDO, Patwari, VLW, Lamberdar or Chowkidar for registering their grievances.
