Hanjura takes stock of developmental works in Chrar-e-Sharief


 

 

BUDGAM, MAY 08: Minister for Agriculture Mr. Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura Sunday directed the Officers of Rural Development Department to prepare Detailed Project Report (DPR) for development of Playing Field at Dardipora and submit the report to the concerned for arrangement of funds. He also directed them to start construction work on foot Culvert at Dardipora over Tulibrung Nallah immediately. He said that an amount of Rs.17.60 lakh have already been sanctioned for the purpose.

These instructions were given by the Minister during his visit to various areas of Chrar-e-Sharief Constituency including Dardipora, Malpora and Dalipora Nagam villages. During his tour, Mr. Hanjura took stock of various the developmental works under execution in these areas besides got appraisal of public issues.

The Minister asked the concerned officers to construct protection bund near Dardipora on Tulbrang Nallah. He also instructed the Block Development Officer, Chrar-e-Sharief to start construction work on improvement of link roads of Dardipora village on priority.  

Addressing public gatherings at Malpora, Dardipora and Dalipora  Nagam villages, the Minister said that Rs one crore would be spent on construction of improvement of link roads of Chrar-e-Sharief Constituency under MGNERGA. He said that the construction work on Water Supply Schemes (WSSs) Dardipora Tilsara and WSS Koran will be started soon and Rs 17.5 crore would be spent on these projects. He said on completion of these schemes more than 8 villages of  Dardipora and Koran villages and its adjacent areas can be benefited by adequate drinking water facilities. He said the construction work on Bore Well at Chrawni will be started soon.

Responding to the demand of installation of transformers and replacement of old poles, the Minister said that sufficient funds have been earmarked for the purpose and the demand will be fulfilled on priority.

The Minister also responded the demand of up-gradation of First Aid Centre, Malpora. He directed the Chief Medical Officer, Budgam to ensure best medicare facilities in the Centre and prepare plan for upgradation and improvement of the Centre.

Earlier, the Minister kick start Mobile Soil Testing Van of Department of Agriculture Kashmir at Dalipora village for on spot analysis of the soil samples of the farmers of district Budgam for Kharief crop-2016 to be sown.

Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that the main aim of the soil testing is to save time of the farmers which he has to spend in going to laboratory for analysis of the soil. He said by this on spot analysis the farmer is advised about judicious use of fertilizers and time application with dose which is most important. Mr. Hanjura said the precious money is saved by this which otherwise farmers spend on unnecessary use of fertilizers. He advised the farmers to use organic fertilizers to save environment.

District Development Commissioner, Budgam Mir Altaf Ahmad and senior officers of district administration accompanied the Minister during his tour.
