Batote ,May 1: Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr.Pawan Kotwal Sunday visited Batote and inspected the areas where houses were recently damaged due to a landslide .
It was informed that 17 houses were fully and 4 houses partially damaged during the landslide there by dislocating 23 families.
Div Com directed the ADC, Ramban to hold an enquiry to ascertain the the actual reasons of the landslide.
Div Com also spoke to the victim families and assured that needful is being done to rehabilitate them as early as possible.
He was accompanied by the ADC Ramban, Babu Ram, and Tehsildar, Batote, Srinath Suman.
Later Div Com also held a meeting to review the ongoing maintenance work of the NHW which was attended by the Project Director, IL&FS, SS Rathore , ADC Ramban and Security Incharge, IL&FS.
