SRINAGAR, Nov 07: PC President Sajjad Lone and Former Minister Imran Ansari had fielded number of candidates as independents in recetly Municipal Polls , eeventually emerging victorious.
BJP was already supporting PC and Imran Ansari (who is having support of Rebel MLAs of PDP).
Junaid Mattu beat Congress Ghulam Rasoon Hajam by 14 votes in the election, where Junaid got 40 votes, Hajam bagged 26 votes and four votes were declared as invalid.
Sheikh Imran, a Businessman, won by one vote and got 35 votes , whereas Muhammad Saleem got 34 votes.
Sheikh Imran was having backing of Congress.
