
RAJOURI, NOVEMBER 06: District Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today convened a meeting of Revenue, Defence Estate and Army officers to review the execution of the decision taken during the Civil-Military Liaison Conference.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri, Sher Singh, Assistant Commissioner Defence, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Mohammad Ashraf, ADEO Rajouri-Poonch, representatives from the Military and Tehsildar Rajouri. Pertinently, 11 ROs have been issued during this month to regularize the defence land.
A threadbare discussion was held on various issues, related to the issuance of requisition order, attestation of mutations, joint verifications of civil and military authorities, wherever required, and implementation of Work on Defence Act.
The DDC instructed the ADEO to submit the original revenue papers of the land for which the formal requisition order is required to be issued within shortest possible time. There are eight cases where formal requisition order has to be issued. However, submission of original papers from Defence Estate Department is awaited for issuance of ROs. The DDC also instructed the concerned Tehsildar to attest the mutations where RO has been issued.
The meeting also decided on the implementation of work on Defence Act.
The DDC further instructed the Revenue officers to issue notifications on the implementation of WODA.
To review the progress and to discuss numerous other issues, the DDC has decided to convene a joint meeting of Revenue and Military officials on November 27,2018.
