JAMMU, MARCH 22: Chairman, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council, Haji Anayat Ali today convened a meeting with Secretary, Consumer Affairs and Public Distributions (CA&PD), Mr. Saurabh Bhagat and other concerned officers to review the availability of food grains and other essential commodities in Ladakh region.
The Chairman directed the officers to ensure adequate supply of ration and other commodities, so that the people of the area do not face any inconvenience in this regard.
Earlier, a deputation headed by Councillor, LAHDC, Haji Kacho Ahmed Khan met the Chairman and apprised him about the shortage of food grains in the area besides other problem being faced in the region.
The Chairman assured the deputation that a meeting shall be convened with Executive Councillors and Deputy Commissioners of Leh and Kargil in the first week of the April, 2016 to further review supply position in the region.
