Dissolve state Assembly: Bhim Singh

Jammu, July 6: Prof. Bhim Singh, Chief Patron of National Panthers Party urged the Governor NN Vohra to exercise his power vested in him under Section 53 of J&K Constitution to dissolve J&K Assembly which has lost its relevance and credibility after the PDP-BJP government was dismissed by the Governor under Section 92 of J&K Constitution.

Prof. Bhim Singh had called on the President of India yesterday and brought the facts in connection with political upheavals that has arisen in the state following the dismissal of J&K Govt. NPP Supremo who is also constitutional expert said that the Defection Law applicable in the State of J&K does not allow any defections nor it allows any defector legislator to join hands with the third party.

Under any Defection Law no legislator of any political party in the state of J&K can afford to quit his party or defect from his original party he is representing in the State Legislature. The stories floated from New Delhi and elsewhere are utterly misleading and against the command of law. No legislator or legislators are allowed under the Defection Law to switch over to another political party. If any legislator dares it he shall be taken as a defected and shall loose his status as a legislator immediately. The BJP is trying to fool the legislators and mislead the general public and the media about the actual state of affairs. The National Conference and the Congress have already made it clear that they shall not alliance with any political party to form a government today. He urged the Governor to act with wisdom and political commitments in the interest of National Integration.

The only way is to dissolve the State Assembly so that the exploitation and attempt to mislead the general public comes to an end. So that the political parties start gearing up for the next election, may be, next year. The BJP in this century cannot even dream of forming a government in the State of J&K.
