
Rajouri, June 20: Deputy Commissioner today chaired a meeting of the senior district health officers including Block Medical Officers Superintendent, district hospital, Deputy CMO etc.
Taking serious note of attachments of the health employeesDDC has directed Chief medical Officer to furnish the details of such attachments within one day for further action in this matter.
He also directed the CMO to provide staff at the closed health centres to make these centre functional within one week as these centres are situated in far off area & was also asked to finalise the land for the construction of New Type of PHC (NT PHC) at Panhad.
At many places the construction work of the health centres was taken up without the construction of boundary walls and the land is formally handed over by the department thus resulting in disputes with the local people.
The district health department is also facing shortage of ambulances. "Out of 72 ambulances available in the district 16 are off the road due to various reasons.The DDC also reviewed the availability of various diagnostic facilities in the district and peripheral hospitals, medical supply position and availability of essential drugs.
It was decided that all medical supplies shall be procured by the District Level Purchase Committee in order to ensure uniformity in procurement process.
