KAS Amit leads Innovations Panel Talk at Ajmer Smart City Summit

Ajmer (Rajasthan), Apr 14, 2018: Amit Sharma, Regional Director Survey and Land Records (Ex-Officio Settlement Officer) Udhampur/Reasi led from the front and moderated an all-important Panel Discussion on "Leaders' Conclave : Leveraging Innovation, Building Sustainable Futuristic Cities" in Ajmer two-day Smart City Summit which concluded here today. It is worthwhile to mention here that RD, S&LR Amit Sharma, having been acknowledged for his significant contributions at national-level, as a Smart City & eGovernance expert, was requested to lead the Panel Discussion regarding introduction of innovative and adaptive practices in future Smart City Models so that they become sustainable and long-lasting over time. While moderating this important panel discussion, Amit happened to share his perspectives on developing new SMART Cities on the lines of Naya Raipur and Amravati which have embedded such futuristic vision like state-of-the-art Command & Control Centre, Central Business District, Intelligent Traffic Management System, Underground Electrical, Water & Sewerage Systems, Dedicated Bicycle Tracks, Vast Spread of Wide Road Networks, Dedicated BRT and Metro Lanes, Green-House Effects, Water Bodies, Ecological Balancing, etc. During his talk, Amit also appreciated innovative practices being shared by a galaxy of well-experienced co-panelists who have been constantly contributing in different Smart City Models being implemented in various states of the nation. The other experts in this intriguing discussion led by RD, S&LR included S V R Srinivas, Principal Secretary, Department of IT, Government of Maharashtra, K Mohd Y Safirulla, Collector & DM, Ernakulam, Government of Kerala, Rajendra Jagtap, CEO, Pune Smart City Limited, Manish Kumar Gupta, Additional DRM, North Western Railways, Jyoti Kakwani, Deputy Commissioner, Ajmer Municipal Corporation, Dharm Pal Singh, District Town Planner, Karnal Municipal Corporation, Santhosh Mazumdar, Head of Business Development & Government Affairs, Johnson Controls and Aarty Kale, CEO, Probit Plus Private Limited. Apart from this, RD, S&LR Amit Sharma was requested to lead and honour the top performing officers/corporate heads working in different Smart City missions in a felicitation ceremony at Ajmer Smart City Summit and his professional role as a lead moderator of the most important session of the Conference was also appreciated across the board. Before culmination, it was also informed by Summit organisers that the recommendations and outcomes of this Summit shall be shared with the Union Ministry of Housing and Urban Development for inclusion of same in the future policy making on SMART Cities in the nation.
