Srinagar, April 11: An encounter ensued between militants and security forces during a search operation in the wee hours on Wednesday in south Kashmir district of Kulgam, official sources said.
Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police, Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and CRPF launched a joint search operation at Wani Mohalla, Khudwani in Kulgam district
Sources said that 2-3 Militants could be present.
