SRINAGAR, Feb 18: BJP national general secretary and party in charge of Jammu and Kashmir affairs, Ram Madhav met Peoples Democratic Party president, Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday in Srinagar. Sources told Cross Town News that Madhav arrived in Srinagar in a chartered plane and was received by BJP’s State leaders at the airport where from he drove straight to Mehbooba’s residence and held an hour-long meeting with Mehbooba at her Fairview residence on Gupkar Road which began at 6:30 pm.

Senior BJP Minister told Cross Town News “Madhav had a one-on-one meeting with Mehbooba. It was a big sep towards government formation,”.
Sources told Cross Town News , Madhav discussed the possible assurances that Mehbooba had sought from the BJP leadership.
PDP wants the Centre to give assurance on issues like revocation of AFSPA, dialogue with separatists and return of power projects to the State
