UDHAMPUR ATTACK: Rs 50,000 cash award, IAY house anounced for two brave boys

Udhampur Attack:  Rs 50,000 cash, IAY houses announced for brave boys

UDHAMPUR, Aug 7:  Minister for Health and Medical Education, Mr Choudhary Lal Singh visited Narsoo (Dhramthal) area of Chenani where militant attacked 2 days ago, where he had appreciated and encouraged two brave boys of the Chenani namely Vikramjeet Singh and Rakesh Sharma for catching a militant alive.

He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary.Earlier, Minister visited the spot where the militants attack the BSF bus. Local people of the area apprised him about the whole incident there.Later, he visited Dhramthal area and interacted with the local people and two brave boys of the area. People of the area demanded Jobs, awards and to provide security to these brave boys for their courage and act of bravery. People also demanded PMGSY road to Chirdi Village, construction of new toilets and street lights and to strengthen the Village defence committees.

            While speaking on the occasion, Minister condemned the attack and appreciated the bravery and courage of two local boys of the Chenani , who had caught a militant alive. He said that it is a great achievement of these two brave boys to catch a militant alive and with bare hands. He said that it is matter of pride for the people of area.

            He also appreciated the efforts of DC Udhampur Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary in handling such a situation timely, efficiently and effectively. He said that Govt is always stand with the people for their safety, support   and help.   He announced Rs 50000 cash reward and IAY house to each brave boy and also asked DC Udhampur to prepare their Job cases soon. He assured the people that he will recommend their names for State as well as National awards. Also announces 200 toilets and 100 street lights to the Chirdi area. He stressed upon the people of the area to be more vigilant and cautious.

 Ch. Lal Singh said that Govt is committed to provide better healthcare facilities at their doorsteps and develop CHC Chenani on model lines soon. MLA Chenani, Mr. Dinanath Bhagat also spoke on the occasion and   put forth of various demands of the people which include filling up of vacant posts and asked the Minister to provide jobs and rewards to these two brave people of the area for their act of bravery.

Director Health Services Jammu Dr. Manjeet Singh Pathania, SDM Chenani Mr D K Sharma, CMO Udhampur, Dr. Arun Sharma, senior doctors from Health Department Jammu/Udhampur besides Sarpanchs, Panches and a large number of people were present on the occasion.
