JAMMU, Feb 20: A Head Constable of the Jammu and Kashmir Police was arrested along with 660 grams heroin worth Rs 66 lakh and 3.5 kilograms of ganja by Gandhi Nagar Police.
A team from Gandhi Nagar Police Station intercepted an ambassador car on specific information
and recovered 600 grams of heroin worth Rs 60 lakh from the possession of the driver and arrested him.
The arrested person identified as Fiza Hussain, son of Mohammad Abdullah of Kupwara is a Head Constable in the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department.
Head Constable reportedly used to smuggle the heroin in the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department’s official ambassador car.
Police team led by SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas , assisted by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Sunil Jasrotia made the arrests under the supervision of SP South Sandeep Choudhary and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
