SSB Organizes Karwan-I-Aman Cricket Tournament


SRINAGAR, Jan 23:  Sashatra Seema Bal (SSB) today organized a knock-out cricket tournament titled ‘Karwan-I-Aman’ under civil action programmeat National Institute of Technology (N.I.T) ground, Srinagar.

The tournament was inaugurated by Commandant 47th Battalion SSB S. Subramanium, on 119th birth anniversary of Netaji Subash Chander Bose .

He said that SSB under the  civic action Programme, SSB organizes cricket, football tournaments and medical camps. He said during the 2014 floods, SSB has  played an important role in relief distribution and rehabilitation operations in J&K under difficult situations.

Civil Defence, Batmaloo Cricket Club, NIT Hazaratbal and Assar Cricket are participating in this knock-out cricket tournament. The finals will be played on January 25 on the same venue.

Deputy Commandant 47th battalion SSB, Dy Controller Civil Defence, Principal (CIT) Home Guards were present in this event.
