SHOPIAN, DECEMBER 28: A Lok Adalat was held today here in the premises of District Court Complex during which 12 cases were settled amicably.
The Lok Adalat was organized by District Legal Services Authority Shopian Ak Shavan. As many as 65 cases of varied natures were taken up for hearing and 12 cases were settled by mediation and reconciliation.
An amount of Rs 600000 as recovery, while as Rs 40000 was awarded as compensation and a fine of Rs 900 was realized from defaulters during the Lok Adalat.
