Kohli Makes Surprise Inspection Of SRTC Bus;Takes Serious Note Of Allowing Vehicle Without Passenger

 

KALAKOTE, Dec 24:Minister for Transport, Abdul Gani Kohli today suddenly inspected a 19 seater SRTC passenger bus near Chowkichora which was on way from Jammu to Kandibakori in Rajouri district.While checking the bus, the Minister found that the bus bearing No, JK02Y-577 had left from Jammu station without any passenger and only one passenger boarded on the bus near Akhnoor and he, too was without ticket.

 

The Minister took serious note of negligence on the part of SRTC authorities and instructed the driver to return and halt the bus at Jammu station immediately.The Minister directed the MD JKSRTC to initiate a stern action against the defaulters and submit a detailed report as to how the driver was allowed to proceed for a long journey without passengers and putting the organization in loss. He further instructed the MD to ensure that no such type of passenger bus should be allowed to proceed on long journey in future which causes a huge loss to the state exchequer. He also directed the concerned authorities to ply one 19 seater bus for Darla via Dhankote instead of Bakori.
