Kishtwar, November 02: During review of progress made under PMAY scheme, it was obserbed that as against the target of 436 cases for the previous financial year i.e, 2016-17, only 373 cases have been registered, out of which 1st installment in favour 84 cases only has been released till date. The situation is even worse as regard the current financial year i.e 2017-18 as the progress as on date is nil.
Failing to update/ upload data on MIS equivalent to man- days generated under MGNREGA, IHHL constructed under SBM and houses approved under PMAY, owing to which GOI has withheld funds under all these Centrally sponsored Schemes as the funding is directly linked to the progress made on MIS web portal.
The Deputy Commissioner pulled on the senior level officers including Assistant Commissioner Development Kishtwar, Executive Engineer REW Kishtwar, District panchayat Officer Kishtwar and several Block Development Officers for their non performance justifies the disciplinary action that could lead to recommending their names to government for consideration under dead wood.
Speaking at the meeting, the DC issued stern warning to the non-performing officers and directed them to complete the process of Geo-tagging & registration of houses under PMAY, geo-tagging under SBM, updation of MGNREGA works on web portal inclusion of deserving poor in the baseline survey and exclusion of undeserving from the SECC list by or before 20th of November 2017, failing which strict action as warranted under rules shall be initiated against the defaulters which may include termination of GRS's and entering bad remarks in APR's of other officers/officials. He further warned officers to ensure transparency in the department and keep public informed about the decisions taken at village level.
If enquired by the other deputy commissioners, it shall be found in other districts also, but this kind of illagalities are not new in RDD.....?
