JAMMU, Dec 16: Baseer Khan, Commissioner Commercial Taxes J&K reviewed the performance of Commercial Tax department in Kashmir division on Wednesday at Excise and Taxation complex. Dr Shamim Ahmed Add Commissioner , CT Kashmir, informed that the department has realized revenue of Rs 787.41 crores for period ending October , 2015 and highlighted that department in Kashmir division has achieved an increase of Rs 156.18 crores thereby registering a growth rate of 25 %.
Baseer Khan laid down stress on expediting the revenue realizations as the department has tremenduous potential in terms of collection of taxes. He directed the CTOs of Kashmir division to complete the assessments, tax audits and settle the audit paras within the prescribed time period.
