Govt. Committed to improve socio-economic condition of people: Kavinder Gupta

JAMMU,Dec 14:Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly and MLA, Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta inaugurated various developmental works in Nai basti & Bhor Kothey area of Gandhi Nagar constituency.While inaugurating the works for the renovation and up gradation of lanes and drains in Nai Basti, ward no. 23 and Bhor Kothey, Kavinder Gupta said that the government is committed to improve the condition of people living in every nook and corner of the state with a focus on neglected area by providing them all the basic facilities at their doorsteps.
 

Gupta said that empowering the common people by making them aware of their rights and the ongoing schemes of the government so that they can avail maximum benefit from it so that the idea of good-governance and transparency can be ensured is high on his priority, the government is monitoring the development and upliftment of backward pockets and left out areas very closely, he added.
 

He said the up-gradation of existing infrastructure to improve basic services to the people has been prioritized which includes improved road connectivity, better transport, drinking water, health and education for ensuring welfare of the peopleReferring to the pace of execution of ongoing projects, the Speaker said that blacktopping of maximum roads of Gandhi Nagar constituency have been taken up and various other developmental projects are underway and more than 50 crores has been earmarked for the same.


Gupta directed the officers to reach out to the masses and spread awareness among them so that they can be benefitted from the schemes of the government such as Ladli Beti, Swach Bharat Abhiyan, ASRA etc. Baldev Billoria, Vinay Gupta, Pitamber Sharma, Ramesh Kumar, Sippy were prominent among others who accompanied the Speaker.
