JAMMU, Oct 20: The district administration conducted a multi-departmental joint operation in the Narwal area of Jammu, successfully rescuing several minor children forced into labor across various commercial establishments.
The targeted raid was carried out by a unified team comprising officials from the Social Welfare Department, Labor Department, Health Department, and Education Department.
All rescued children were immediately removed from the commercial premises, provided necessary care, and transported to safe government-run shelter facilities.
Meanwhile, legal proceedings have been initiated against the defaulting shop owners for violating statutory regulations.
