Gurdaspur, Oct 01: In a major breakthrough, Gurdaspur Police dismantles an interstate arms-smuggling racket, apprehends four accused, and recovers seven pistols, including one Glock pistol and six .30 cal pistols, along with eight magazines.
Preliminary investigation reveals that the arrested accused had alleged backward linkages with an individual based in Dubai and forward linkages with an individual based in the USA, who allegedly directed them to collect the illegal weapons.
An FIR has been registered at PS Kalanaur. Further investigation is underway to uncover the complete network and establish the backward and forward linkages.
