Mendhar, Sep 08: A four-year-old girl died after allegedly receiving a injection at a private medical shop in the Mendhar area of Poonch district, with her family demanding strict legal action and an impartial investigation.
According to the family, the child developed severe swelling throughout her body after being administered glucose and an injection at Uzain Medical Hall in Uchhad.
As her condition deteriorated, she was shifted from Uchhad to Sub-District Hospital Mendhar. She was subsequently referred to Government Medical College Rajouri and later to GMC Jammu, where she died.
The bereaved family has alleged medical negligence and claimed that the child died after being administered a injection. They have sought an immediate, impartial and expert medical investigation to establish the exact cause of death.
The concerned Drug Inspector has been asked to take necessary actions.
