JAMMU, Aug 26: MLA Bahu, Ch. Vikram Randhawa today conducted an extensive tour of Trikuta Nagar along with Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Dr. Rakesh Minhas to take stock of various developmental and civic issues being faced by the residents of the area.
During the visit, the MLA and Deputy Commissioner inspected various spots across Trikuta Nagar and interacted with local residents and prominent citizens to understand their concerns and assess the ground situation.
The visit was attended by ADC Jammu, Tehsildar Bahu, Executive Engineer, AEE and JE from the Irrigation Department, besides other senior officials of the district administration.
A large number of prominent citizens also accompanied the MLA during the tour, including Mandal president BJP, Nitish Mahajan, Kulveer Charak, former corporator, Ajay Gupta and several other local representatives and residents.
MLA said that regular field visits and direct interaction with the people are essential for identifying issues at the grassroots level. He said that the presence of the Deputy Commissioner and concerned officials during the tour would help ensure that the issues raised by residents are examined and addressed in a coordinated and time-bound manner.
Dr. Rakesh Minhas also personally inspected the identified spots and took detailed feedback from the concerned officers.
He issued necessary directions to the officials for taking prompt and coordinated action on the issues highlighted during the visit, stressing that genuine public grievances should be addressed in a time-bound manner.
Randhawa appreciated the Deputy Commissioner for visiting the area personally and reviewing the issues on the ground. He said that such joint field inspections help in better coordination among departments and ensure effective resolution of issues faced by residents.
The MLA also directed the concerned officials to ensure timely follow-up and proper execution of the required works. He assured the residents that their genuine concerns would be taken up with the concerned departments on priority.
