SRINAGAR, AUGUST 20: Employees of the Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly Secretariat on Wednesday staged a protest inside the Assembly premises against an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD) regarding the deputation of Deputy Secretary Bilal Ahmad Mir.
The protesting employees assembled within the Assembly complex and raised objections to the order, urging the competent authorities to review the decision and address their concerns in accordance with the applicable rules and administrative procedures.
The employees said the matter requires objective examination and sought an appropriate and amicable resolution in the larger interest of the Legislative Assembly and its staff.
During the agitation, the protesting employees also received support from Hon’ble Members of the Legislative Assembly, who expressed solidarity with the staff and supported their demand for a review of the GAD decision.
The employees urged the authorities to intervene promptly and resolve the issue amicably, maintaining that their grievances should be given due consideration before any further action is taken.
