Panipat, Aug 19: Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested Hemlata Hedau, Asstt. DGFT in the Office of Joint Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Panipat, Haryana, in a bribery case.
The CBI registered the instant case on 19.08.2026 against the said accused. It was alleged that the Assistant DGFT, O/o Joint DGFT, Panipat, Haryana, demanded a bribe of Rs.30,000 from the complainant for clearing the deficiency and processing Export Promotion Capital Goods Authorization file in respect of the client of the complainant.
The CBI laid a trap on 19.08.2026 and caught the accused public servant while demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 30,000 from the complainant.
The searches are underway at the residence and office premises of the accused.
Investigation is continuing.
