Ansari for channelizing energy of  J&K youth towards nation building

JAMMU, Nov 27: Youth of Jammu and Kashmir have enormous potential which needs to be explored and nurtured in the right direction this was stated by the Minister for Youth services & Sports, Information Technology and Technical Education, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari at the concluding function of 3rd Lala Daswandi Ram Daluja Memorial open Volleyball tournament at MA Sports Stadium, Jammu today.

The Minister said efforts are underway to provide conducive environment to channelize   energy  of youth  towards nation building. He said special attention is being given to provide better facilities to the budding sportsperson and foster their talent so that they can compete at national and international level.

The tournament was organized by the Volleyball Association of J&K in which 8 teams of Jammu division participated and a total of 16 matches were played.

The winner and runner-up teams were given trophies and mementos besides a cash prize of Rs. 61000 was given to the winners of tournament ,Manjeet Singh Volleyball club Poonch while as 36000 was given to the runners up team  JKAP .A cash prize of  Rs. 17500 and Rs. 7500 were awarded to 6th Sikh Bn Punjab and BSF Jammu Frontier for clinching third and fourth positions respectively in the tournament. 

 Secretary Sports Council Javid Shah, members of sports council, Director General of Youth, Service and Sports, Jahangir Mir, President Volleyball Association, Sidharth Daluja, Patron-in-Chief, Raj Daluja, and Secretary Vijay Kumar Mangotra and large numbers of volleyball lovers were present on the occasion.
