UDHAMPUR: Udhampur Sports Council & KC Gurukul School are jointly going to organize Handball Tournament in Udhampur, said Vice Chairman Udhampur Sports Council Rahil Gupta in a press release.
Udhampur Sports Council meeting on Saturday was chaired by Vice Chairman Rahil Gupta and he stressed upon promoting uncovered sports across the district so as to tap immense talent of youth of Udhampur.
Raj Guru, Sunil Badyal, Suresh Khajuria (Members Udhampur Sports council), Shaktish Chopra, Incharge Manager Udhampur , Dalvinder Singh, Anil Gupta (Coaches) and Shray Mahajan, MD KC Gurukul School (Special invitee) were present in the meeting.
Rahil Gupta asked all Members to focus on intensifying Sports scenarion in the district and at the same time building International level sportsperson in the district.
In the meeting it was concluded that Udhampur Sports Council in collaboration with KC Gurukul School will organize Handball Tournament in the first week of September that will see participation of more than 400 players.
Rahil Gupta also appreciated the efforts of CM Mehbooba Mufti, Sports Minister Imran Ansari and Secretary Sports council Waheed Para for promoting Sports in the state and for giving appointment to more than 180 NIS qualified instructors which will further help in promoting sports across the state.
