Solapur (Maharashtra), Aug 04: A horrific accident occurred on the Mhasswad-Pandharpur route at Tandulwadi village in Malshiras taluka near Pandharpur.
A pickup van carrying members of the same family, who were returning home after worship at the Siddhnath Temple, lost control and fell into a deep well by the roadside that had no safety wall.
Eight members of the same family died in the accident.
Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the families of the deceased.
