JAMMU, JULY 16: Controller, Legal Metrology, J&K, Shiv Kumar Gupta today met delegations of the Gangyal Industries Association and the Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) at his office in Transport Nagar, Narwal, Jammu, as part of the department's continuing outreach to industry and trade bodies under the Ease of Doing Business reforms.
The Gangyal Industries Association delegation, led by President Virender Jain, put forth suggestions to improve stakeholder facilitation, including making the Single Window Portal more efficient by allowing applicants adequate time to rectify inadvertent errors and incorporating online nomination under Section 49 of the Legal Metrology Act, 2009 into the portal.
The Controller assured the delegation that the suggestions would be examined and steps taken to streamline the department's online services.
The Controller also assured the BBIA delegation, led by President Tarun Singla, which had earlier raised issues concerning industry and measures to strengthen the department's services.
