BUDGAM, June 16: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Budgam conducted an extensive field inspection of developmental works under MGNREGA, PMAY-G, Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM), RGSA and other schemes in Block Rathsun.
The visit was attended by the Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Budgam, Block Development Officer Rathsun and other field officials.
Key observations and directions:
• PMAY-G/SBM: ADDC reviewed PMAY-G houses and expressed concern over incomplete housing units and pending SBM toilet incentives despite release of funds. Immediate completion of pending works and submission of Action Taken Reports (ATRs) was directed.
• Waste management: At Bonmakhama and Radbugh, gaps were noticed in waste collection and sanitation management. Officials were directed to ensure regular door-to-door collection, intensify IEC activities and expedite completion of the Plastic Waste Management Unit at Rathsun.
• MGNREGA: Discrepancies were observed in labour attendance and record maintenance. Accountability was fixed and compliance reports were sought from the concerned officials.
• Public grievances: ADDC heard issues relating to education, sanitation and other local developmental matters and issued on-the-spot directions for their resolution.
• Enforcement: Strict action was ordered against any obstruction in waste disposal operations and against lapses in implementation of scheme guidelines.
The ADDC directed all concerned departments and field functionaries to ensure time-bound completion of works, proper maintenance of records and visible improvement in service delivery. Local residents appreciated the visit and thanked the district administration for proactive field engagement and focus on effective implementation of developmental schemes.
