DC Kishtwar directs CMO to withhold salaries of Staff

Kishtwar, June 17:  Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma (JKAS) today chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the implementation and progress of various health programmes and key performance indicators of the Health Sector in the district.

Chief Medical Officer Kishtwar, Dr. Sanjay Bhat, apprised the Deputy Commissioner about the current status of different health schemes and programmes being implemented across the district. During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed in detail the progress of various developmental and beneficiary-oriented health schemes.

The schemes reviewed included ABHA (Ayushman Bharat Health Account), Institutional Deliveries, Sex Ratio at Birth, Low Birth Weight among Newborns, Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK), Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY), Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram (JSSK) and other health programmes.

The Deputy Commissioner directed all concerned Tehsildars to identify State land within the next ten days for the construction of health centres presently functioning from private rented buildings.

The Deputy Commissioner directed the CMO Kishtwar to conduct an inquiry into the funds utilized under the Rogi Kalyan Samiti (RKS) program and also ordered for conduction of an audit of the same.

The Deputy Commissioner further directed the CMO Kishtwar to withhold the salaries of medical staff attached outside their original places of posting to address the shortage of staff in health institutions and ensure that general public do not suffer due to the non-availability of medical personnel in their respective areas.

The Deputy Commissioner also directed the CMO Kishtwar to conduct an audit of Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) and Janani Shishu Suraksha Karyakram (JSSK) programme implementation.

Reviewing the performance under the e-Sanjeevani Scheme, the Deputy Commissioner directed that incentives of concerned officers and officials showing zero percent performance be withheld until further orders.

The Deputy Commissioner laid special emphasis on achieving 100 percent creation of ABHA IDs and Ayushman Bharat Golden Cards in the district to ensure that all eligible beneficiaries receive the benefits of government healthcare schemes.

Pawan Kotwal (JKAS), MS DH Kishtwar Dr. Yudhvir Singh Kotwal, BMO Dachan Dr. Sajjad Hussain, BMO Kishtwar Dr. Anil Sharma, BMO Chatroo Dr. Saima Agoo, BMO Paddar besides other Officers and officials from Health Department Kishtwar
