DODA, June 15: As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyan, Police here today attached a residential property along with shops worth approximately Rs. 40.18 lakh under the provisions of Chapter VA of NDPS Act, 1985.
The action was taken in connection with FIR No. 39/2026 of Police Station Gandoh, registered under Sections 8/20/29 of NDPS Act.
During investigation, substantial quantity of narcotic substances and other incriminating material were recovered, indicating involvement of the accused in illicit drug trafficking activities.
The investigation was conducted by SHO Police Station Gandoh under the close supervision of SDPO Gandoh. A detailed financial investigation established that a three-storey residential house with shops situated at Domail, Kahara and a residential house at Bani Trankle, belonging to the accused Kamar Din, son of Mohd Din, was allegedly acquired through proceeds generated from illegal narcotics trade.
Accordingly, the property, assessed at approximately Rs. 40.18 lakh, was attached under relevant provisions of NDPS Act pending further proceedings before the Competent Authority.
