Jammu, June 10: A public interaction and review meeting under the Vibrant Village Programme-II (VVP-II) was held on 10 June 2026 at Village Lalyal, Panchayat Kanachak, Block Marh.
The programme was attended by Sh. Kapil Sharma, JKAS, Director Urban Local Bodies, Surinder Kumar, MLA Marh, Ms. Kirandeep Kaur, JKAS, BDO Marh, former Panchayati Raj Institution representatives, women, senior citizens, community members, officials of various line departments and bank representatives.
During the meeting, detailed deliberations were held on the proposed development works planned under VVP-II for Village Lalyal.
The participants were informed about the proposed initiatives aimed at improving civic infrastructure, public amenities, educational facilities, sports infrastructure and overall quality of life in the village.
Local residents actively participated in the discussion and projected their grievances, developmental requirements and suggestions.
The concerns raised by the public were heard by the dignitaries and concerned officers, who assured appropriate action on genuine issues.
Addressing the gathering, Kapil Sharma, JKAS, reiterated the Government’s commitment towards participatory and sustainable rural development.
He assured that all approved works would be completed in a timely manner and stated that regular field visits and reviews would be undertaken to monitor progress and ensure effective implementation of the projects.
MLA Marh, Surinder Kumar, emphasized the importance of community participation in the development process and reaffirmed his commitment towards addressing the aspirations of the people.
The programme concluded with a shared resolve among the administration, elected representatives and villagers to work collectively for the holistic development of Village Lalyal under the Vibrant Village Programme-II.
