SRINAGAR, June 10: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Wednesday chaired a high-level review meeting on preparations for the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 and directed all departments and security agencies to ensure timely completion of all arrangements.
The Lieutenant Governor reviewed preparedness across infrastructure development, security deployment, healthcare facilities, sanitation systems, communication connectivity, and pilgrim services ahead of the annual pilgrimage.
He instructed officials to ensure coordinated efforts among all stakeholders so that necessary arrangements are completed well within stipulated timelines.
Sinha emphasised that seamless services, robust security, and adequate facilities for pilgrims must remain a priority, calling for close monitoring of all ongoing works related to the Yatra.
The review meeting also assessed logistical planning and inter-agency coordination measures being put in place to facilitate the smooth conduct of the pilgrimage in 2026.
