Personally supervising rescue operation after tourists left stranded in Gulmarg Cable Car: LG Manoj Sinha

SRINAGAR, May 25: The Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha said he is personally supervising the rescue operation after tourists were left stranded in cable car cabins due to a technical fault in the Gulmarg Gondola system.

                    In a post on X, the Office of the Lieutenant Governor stated that the LG said “I am monitoring the rescue operation for tourists stranded in cable car cabins following a technical fault in Gulmarg".

The LG’s office further added that a joint rescue operation is underway involving the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Army, State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), along with the Deputy Commissioner and Senior Superintendent of Police, to ensure the safe evacuation of all stranded tourists.

It added that all agencies are working in coordination to ensure the swift and safe completion of the rescue operation.
