THANNAMANDI, May 2: MLA Thannamandi Muzaffar Iqbal Khan today demanded an immediate halt to the ongoing road construction work on the Patrara to Shahdra Sharif via Ghambir Mughlan route, citing serious concerns over alleged negligence and substandard execution.
Khan questioned the quality of work, alleging major lapses in execution & added that blacktopping was carried out directly on soil without proper base preparation or adherence to standard engineering norms, resulting in the rapid deterioration of the road.
MLA demanded a probe by the Central Bureau of Investigation to examine the alleged irregularities, fix accountability and ensure strict action against those found responsible.
