Rajouri, May 2: The District Panchayat Election Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Rajouri has revoked the suspension of Assistant Electoral Registration Officer/Block Development Officer (BDO) Plangher, Mohd Hashim Hanief, with immediate effect.
According to an official order issued on May 2, 2026, the officer had earlier been placed under suspension vide Order No. 01 of 2026 dated April 27, 2026, over alleged unsatisfactory performance during the revision process of the Panchayat Electoral Roll 2026.
The order states that the matter was subsequently reviewed by the competent authority, and the explanation submitted by the officer was taken into consideration on sympathetic grounds. “In view of the case and on lenient grounds, the suspension of Sh. Mohd Hashim Hanief is hereby revoked with immediate effect,” the order reads.
The officer has been directed to immediately resume his duties and ensure strict adherence to responsibilities, maintaining diligence and accountability in all election-related assignments going forward.
The order was issued by District Panchayat Election Officer Abhishek Sharma (IAS), with copies circulated to concerned senior officials for information. (KNC)
