Jammu, Apr 29: In C.P./81/2025 (JAMMU) In O.A./557/2023 titled MOHAMMAD AYAZ IQBAL Vs SCHOOL EDUCATION DEPARTMENT after hearing CAT ordered as under:-
Learned counsel for the petitioner has stated that son of the petitioner was referred to Higher Centre, outside the State, (ILBS, New Delhi) for Liver Transplant as the said treatment was not available at GMC, Jammu and the son of the applicant underwent the Liver Transplant at ILBS, New Delhi spending an amount of about Rs. 14 Lakhs from his own pocket.
It is further submitted that despite final order of this Tribunal dated 12.12.2023, the compliance has not been made by the respondents department due to their lackadiasical and lethargic approach.
On the other hand, learned A.A.G. has stated that as per status report filed last time, the proposal for reimbursement of amount of the petitioner is pending as GAD has sought some clarification from School Education Department, Jammu vide U.O dated 28.01.2026.
At the request of learned A.A.G., further three weeks time is granted to file the compliance report failing which respondent no. 1 (Commissioner/Secretary to Government, School Education Department, Jammu) shall appear before this Tribunal through virtual mode on the next date of hearing at 1:00 PM with his explanation.
