Udhampur, Apr 20 : At least nineteen passengers died and several others were injured after a bus skidded off the road in Kagort village of Ramnagar.
The injured have been shifted to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Meanwhile, PM Modi, in a post on X, expressed grief over the loss of lives in the accident. “Pained to hear about the loss of lives due to a bus accident in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir. I extend my heartfelt condolences to those who have lost their near and dear ones. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured,” he said.
He also announced Rs 2 lakh relief for the family members of those who died in the accident and Rs 50,000 for the injured.
