Meerut, Apr 17: A major fake racket jeopardizing health in Meerut has been exposed, where real brothers Jabir and Hamid were allegedly preparing fake and adulterated paneer in separate factories.
In Nagla Kumbha village under the jurisdiction of Meerut's Jani police station, a joint raid by the food department and police uncovered large quantities of adulterated paneer and dangerous chemicals.
The investigation team seized 16 quintals of fake paneer from Hamid's factory and 12 quintals from Jabir's factory.
Additionally, 5300 liters of milk, palmolein oil, maida, and suspicious chemicals were found at the site, which were being used to manufacture dairy products.
During the operation, both factories were sealed, and the seized materials were destroyed.
Preliminary investigations have also revealed that this adulterated paneer was being supplied to various areas in Delhi, Uttarakhand, and the NCR, posing a major health risk to people.
However, as soon as the accused got wind of the raid, both fled the scene, and the police are now on the lookout for them.
