JAMMU, April 16: Police has arrested a property dealer in connection with several complaints alleging fraudulent sale of plots in the outskirts of Jammu leading to serious disputes and financial losses.
The accused had been operating as a property dealer and is facing over 20 complaints from different individuals. The cases primarily pertain to selling plots to various buyers, collecting substantial amounts of money, but allegedly failing to hand over possession of the land.
The arrest was carried out by Sainik Colony Police during a naka checking operation. Following his arrest, legal proceedings were initiated in the court.
The court has listed the next hearing date for April 22, 2026 for bail.
