Apex Court stays High Court orders in case of SKUAST faculty member who had taken up a foreign assignment

JAMMU, Apr 16: The Supreme Court has stayed the operation of a judgment passed by the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh in a case concerning a Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology , Jammu faculty member who had taken up a foreign assignment without prior permission.

While hearing a Special Leave Petition filed by Dr Ankur Sharma, a bench of the Apex Court comprising Justice M M Sundresh and Justice Prasanna B Varale issued notice to the respondents and ordered that the operation of the impugned High Court judgment shall remain stayed till the next date of hearing, fixed for May 22, 2026.
